Dissemination

Once again, this year we have organized one of the activities of the Universidad de Alcalá within the European Researchers' Night with the activity entitled "Suppress a tumor with pain molecules". A wide variety of audiences has attended to the activity , including children, high school students and university students. It has been a great experience that we have focused on explaining how some molecules present in common foods such as hot sauce, mustard and mint candies are capable of activate neurons of our somatosensory system directly, generating sensations of burning pain, irritation and cool.
